Sunday is looming as a lynchpin moment in the NFC East. Despite a plethora of injuries, various COVID hangups, and the up and down play of players for the Bills, they have a chance to win the AFC East for the second year in a row. All they need is a win or a Patriots loss. In that vein, the Jets are definitely the desirable Week 18 matchup. At 4-12, they’re looking ahead to the offseason, particularly after a loss to the Buccaneers in which they led heading into the final two minutes.

The Bills looked close to a collapse against the Falcons last week, but they didn’t allow a point in the second half and won handily 29-15. Now, the task is simple. Win and get a home game in the playoffs. When hosting at Orchard Park, that’s invaluable, particularly in January when the confines are significantly less than friendly.

The Jets have a lot to be excited about, but it’s simply not their time right now. Zach Wilson is beginning to show some flashes as the No. 1 quarterback, but there’s a lot of work to do this offseason with the BYU product. Michael Carter will be out this week, further hampering an offense that has struggled this year. The Jets are 16.5-point dogs in this game, but they have the potential to keep this game significantly closer.

This one game won’t make or break the future of the Bills, but it is a big game for them nonetheless. Although the Bills boast 5-3 records both on the road and at home, there’s no denying that having to travel to a place like Foxborough would be a brutal Wild Card pull. They want to host. It would mean a lot to the team and the fans, and the Jets are the only thing standing between the Bills and doing so.

Here’s what you need to know to watch Jets vs. Bills this Sunday, including kickoff time, TV channels, and the full Week 18 NFL schedule.
