A Mount Vernon man pleaded guilty to stabbing a woman in the face with a knife during a terrifying sexual assault, officials announced Friday.
Hasarn Myke, 40, attacked a woman and cut her clothes off with a knife in a secluded area of Mount Vernon at around 5 a.m. on Nov. 20, 2020, the Westchester County District Attorney’s Office said.
He punched her in the face and body and kicked her in the stomach in the brutal attack, according to a DA news release.
Police say he proceeded to sexually assault the woman “while making a humming sound,” and stabbed her in the face.
Myke then forced the woman to her feet, grabbed her by the neck and made her walk toward his home naked while he held a knife to her.
But the victim escaped and fled into a nearby residence where she was able to call the Mount Vernon Police Department, officials said. She was transported to Jacobi Medical Center in the Bronx.
Myke was arrested on Nov. 27 by Mount Vernon cops following an investigation, the DA said.

On Tuesday, he pleaded guilty to to attempted assault in the first degree as a sexually motivated felony, attempted assault in the first degree, sexual abuse in the first degree, assault in the second degree as a sexually motivated felony, and two counts of assault in the second degree, all of which are violent felonies.
He additionally pleaded guilty to Unlawful Imprisonment in the Second Degree, a misdemeanor, the news release stated.
He faces a maximum sentence of 15 years in state prison with 15 years of post-release supervision.
Myke is scheduled to be sentenced on January 25, 2022 by Judge Susan Cacace in Westchester County Court.
