Two professional sports organizations. Two sets of allegations of troubling acts and cultures of enablement. Two independent investigations.

On Tuesday, one of them, made public, culminated with president of hockey operations Stan Bowman and senior vice president of hockey operations Al MacIsaac ousted from the Blackhawks.

On July 1, the other, kept private, culminated with Daniel Snyder, owner of the Washington Football Team, forced to pay a fine and step back from his day-to-day duties (for now) while retaining his spot as one of the most powerful men in sports.
