The Point Park Pioneers are on the road again Monday and play against the Buffalo Bulls at 7 p.m. ET Nov. 29 at Alumni Arena. Buffalo will be strutting in after a victory while the Pioneers will be stumbling in from a defeat.
Point Park was pulverized by the Akron Zips 102-46 two weeks ago.
As for Buffalo, they can’t say they have nothing to be thankful for this Thanksgiving week. They strolled past the Illinois State Redbirds with points to spare last Wednesday, taking the game 106-90. Five players on Buffalo scored in the double digits: forward Josh Mballa (29), forward Jonathan Williams (17), guard Ronaldo Segu (17), center David Skogman (17), and guard Keishawn Brewton (10). Josh Mballa’s performance made up for a slower matchup against the Stephen F. Austin Lumberjacks last week.
Point Park’s loss took them down to 0-1 while Buffalo’s win pulled them up to 3-2. In their victory, Buffalo relied heavily on Mballa, who had 29 points along with eight boards. the Pioneers will need to find a way to minimize his impact if they want to win.
