Thanksgiving always lights up spirits, and people share gratitude for everything they’ve received in life. Warriors superstar Steph Curry posted a heartwarming photograph with his family and added a fervent caption to dictate his emotions. While Curry’s fans added their reactions, the point guard was triggered into some banter by his upcoming opponent, Phil Mickelson!
As Curry posted a Thanksgiving picture with his family on Instagram, he was quickly met by some chirping from Mickelson. “Enjoy today. Tomorrow you’ll be feeling the pain,” the golfer wrote.
Curry wasn’t shy to respond in the comments section, which was filled with the reactions of fans. “no, No. No. My smile will be wayyy bigger good sir. Sleep well tonight,” the Warriors’ star responded.
A new rivalry has emerged between Curry and Mickelson as they are opponents at Capital One’s The Match: Champions for Change. The duo will go up against each other in a game of golf on Nov. 27 at 3 p.m. ET at Stone Canyon Golf Club in Oro Valley, Arizona.
Curry’s teammate is NFL’s Peyton Manning, while Mickelson is teaming up with Hall of Famer Charles Barkley. There’s a lot of attraction and buzz around the game, and their friendly banter has been up to the mark so far!

Steph Curry has a challenging path ahead when the NBA season begins
The Warriors bottled their mighty status and fell down to the bottom of the Western Conference in 2020. The team was without Steph Curry and Klay Thompson and found it hard to excel without two of their best players.
As a new season dawns, Warriors’ fans are happy that Curry is back to full fitness. The disappointment however is that Thompson has injured himself again and will miss an entire season for the second successive year.
This makes things complicated for Steph Curry, who has massive responsibilities lying on his shoulder. The 2X MVP is confident about his chances as he is a 100% fit ahead of the new season.
“I think the advantage that we have in rest, other teams have in just familiarity and getting reps in over the course of the summer and in the bubble,” Curry said recently.
Klay Thompson’s grueling torn Achilles sent the Warriors camp into a state of shock. But they’re now motivated to do better. Curry and Co. are even more inspired to go out and regain their status in the West.
