We go over how to watch the UFC’s first event at the UFC APEX in 2021, which features multiple ranked fighters on the main card.
After spending the first two big events of 2021 on Fight Island in the United Arab Emirates, the UFC is back at the APEX in Las Vegas for UFC Fight Night: Overeem vs. Volkov. Unlike the previous two events, this will be broadcasted on ESPN+ with main card beginning at 8:00 p.m. ET, and the prelims at 5:00 p.m. ET.
Here’s how you can watch the game.
The main card on Saturday night features six bouts, including the main event between Alistair “The Demolition Man” Overeem and Alexander “Drago” Volkov. Overeem enters the octagon with a record of 47-18 (1 NC) and is ranked fifth in the heavyweight rankings. As for, Volkov, he has a record of 32-8 and is ranked sixth in the heavyweight rankings.
The main card also features a ranked bantamweight bout between second-ranked Cory Sandhagen and fourth-ranked Frankie Edgar. The preliminary card currently has seven bouts and is always subject to change. Some of the notable prelim fights include Mike Rodriguez vs. Danilo Marques (light heavyweight), Karol Rosa vs. Joselyne Edwards (women’s bantamweight), and Devonte Smith vs. Justin Jaynes (catchweight).
For both the prelims and main card for UFC Fight Night: Overeem vs. Volkov is will be live streamed on ESPN+, in which you need to purchase a subscription.
