Two men were fatally struck by trains in Brooklyn and Manhattan overnight, police said Tuesday.
An unidentified man was lying on the tracks at the Avenue U and East 16th Street station in Sheepshead Bay around 2:40 a.m. when a southbound 2 train pulled into the station, cops said.
The motorman attempted to put on the brakes but was unable to stop, cops said.
The victim was pronounced dead on scene.
Hours earlier, a man in his 30s jumped in front of a moving southbound 1 train at West 79th Street and Broadway on the Upper West Side, cops said.
He was pronounced dead on scene in what cops believe was a suicide, police said.
No criminality was suspected in either incident, authorities said.
