On Friday, US President Donald Trump announced one peace deal which would normalize the ties between Sudan and Israel, claiming that there will likely be several more peace deals in the Middle East in the coming days.
Trump had invited media reporters in Oval Office while he spoke on a phone call with leaders of Sudan and Israel and discussed the recent US brokered deal.
Trump said that Sudan had shown a strong commitment to fighting terrorism. It’s a great day in Sudan’s history, said Trump, further adding that Sudan and Israel have been under a war state for decades.
He said that about 5 other nations wanted a peace deal along with Israel. Jared Kushner, the president’s senior advisor, who has actively taken part in brokering peace deals, confirmed that other nations in Middle East will soon follow the suit.
The president said that Iran also would normalize relation with Israel someday. He further said that one deal between the Palestinian region and Israel might be on the cards.
Prior to the 2020 peace deals, the Middle Eastern country hadn’t recognized the Israel from Jordan in 1990. Trump said that he believes Saudi Arabia will also agree to a peace deal soon.
