Just a day post Houston Texans lost to Minnesota Vikings with 0-4, general manager GM and head coach Bill O’Brien said that while he has to be better at coaching the team obviously, he cannot concern himself when it comes to his job status as he cannot control that.
The Texans began the season with the toughest ever schedule against Pittsburgh Steelers, Baltimore Ravens and Kansas City Chiefs as per Football Power Index, before losing to the Vikings on Sunday. Only the 1992 Chargers have made playoffs post beginning 0-4 in the history of NFL.
Houston has stayed back in several aspects in this season; however, the only aspect that stands out is the team is the only one in the league to not force any turnover through 4 games and still have one minus-5 turnover differential.
The Texans has also ranked last with only 181.8 rushing yards permitted per game. During Sunday’s loss, Dalvin Cook, running back for Vikings ran for about 130 yards as well as 2 touchdowns on twenty seven carries.
Quarterback Deshaun Watson, post the game, said that he was not going to allow a slow start to the game get to him. The love for the game will continue to be there, he added.
