A Staten Island dad was arrested and charged in the fatal New Year’s Eve shooting of his son, which is believed to be the final murder recorded in the city in 2021.

Joseph Leone, 57, of the 1200 block of Bay Street, is now charged with murder, assault and criminal possession of a weapon, cops said.

The 57-year-old suspect allegedly opened fire outside his Bay Street home in Rosebank just before 7:30 p.m., an NYPD spokesman said.

Police did not release the name of the 29-year-old victim — who was shot in the chest — or what led to the deadly family violence.

Cops found the man lying on the sidewalk unconscious and unresponsive on Bay Street, about two blocks from Hylan Boulevard in the Rosebank section, police said.

The victim was pronounced dead at Staten Island University North Hospital.
