Saints cornerback Marshon Lattimore was arrested Thursday night in Cleveland after being accused of possessing a stolen handgun, according to reports.
Lattimore, 24, was arrested by gang investigators, charged with carrying a concealed weapon and receiving stolen property, and booked into Cuyahoga County Jail, Cleveland.com reported. He was initially pulled over as a passenger in a vehicle that was stopped for traffic violations, but police eventually found a loaded handgun in Lattimore’s possession that he allegedly did not own.
The Saints did not immediately comment on the situation, ESPN reported.
Lattimore, a Cleveland native who was a first-round pick out of Ohio State in 2017, won AP Defensive Rookie of the Year and is a three-time Pro Bowler.
