As the Ducks travel to play the first Pac-12 Championship game from Allegiant Stadium in Las Vegas, they will be challenged by the Utes. Utah earned a dominant 40-17 win over Weber State to finish off their regular season, as quarterback Cameron Rising threw for a season-high three touchdowns for the third game this season.
Rising will be pressured by the Ducks’ top-defenseman Kayvon Thibodeaux as he prepares to play his final game at Oregon. He recorded five tackles during last week’s win against Oregon State and was credited with three quarterback hurries.
Brown will expect to feel the pressure from the Utes’ defense. During their first win against Oregon, the Utes held the Ducks to seven points with only 63 rushing yards and 18 first downs. The Ducks will likely have the most success driving the ball through the air as they recorded 231 passing yards during the matchup.

The Utes celebrate a 28-13 win over Colorado on November 26th. Utah quarterback Cameron Rising went 14-23 for 179 yards, three TDs and one interception, and running backs Tavion Thomas (142 yards, one TD) and TJ Pledger (103 yards) both played 100+ yard games.
Utah has won five in a row after losing two of its first three games this season and only making two turnovers in the last six games, and now the biggest game of the year awaits.
“It’s no fun not winning and not having games – we have underperformed in my opinion,” Utah head coach Kyle Whittingham told KSL.com. “It really gets under your skin, but as soon as things click and you can see that we are going in the right direction, it is really fun coming to work every day.”
“They’re a big, physical, disciplined football team that plays hard,” Oregon’s head coach Mario Cristobal said of the Utes on Oregon Live. “You play with physicality and violence. You are very task-conscious, technically and rock solid. You have explosive players in special teams, offensive and defensive. They just create negative places, problems, and protection a really complete soccer team. An excellent football team. “
As for Oregon, the Ducks beat Oregon State by 38:29 on November 27th. Ducks QB Anthony Brown completed 23 of 28 passes for 275 yards and two touchdowns, and running back Travis Dye chipping in 99 yards and two scores further the floor.
