Gotham went 24 hours without a shooting for the first time in months on Monday.
The relative peace came amid a drastic spike in gunplay this year, and on the heels of 13 people being shot on Sunday — including seven at a Sweet 16 in Brooklyn — and six people shot on Saturday.
As of Monday, 1,704 people were reported shot in 1,386 separate incidents — nearly double last year’s count at that time.
The NYPD could not immediately say the last day that no shootings were reported.
The victory was short-lived, as a man shot two cops who came to his house on a domestic violence call before being shot dead himself on Tuesday.
