The number of people getting vaccinated in New York City jumped by a little more than 10,000 in one day, state officials said Saturday.

A total of 10,577 more people in the five boroughs got vaxxed in the past 24 hours, Gov. Kathy Hochul’s office reported.

The increase came as the city’s deadline for its workers to get the jab loomed Friday evening.

A cash reward for those who get inoculated has likely helped accelerate the last-second leap: City employees who began their vaccine series when the mandate was announced on Oct. 20 have been offered a $500 paycheck bump as an incentive.

“Never doubt the people who serve our city. They won’t stop until the job’s done,” Mayor Bill De Blasio tweeted.

By Friday, a total of 22,999 New Yorkers had received their first vaccine dose, and 18,832 completed their vaccine series, according to Hochul’s office. Overall, 32 New Yorkers statewide died of the virus, including five in the Big Apple.
