Martin Truex Jr's Brother Ryan Truex Uses Interesting Tactic to Announce Plans for 2021 NASCAR Season

In the 2020 NASCAR Truck Series season, Ryan Truex took part in a handful of races for Niece Motorsports. Now, the 28-year old is set to join the team on a full-time basis for the coming season. The driver also decided to have a bit of fun with the fans and gave them a puzzle to solve before breaking the news.

It is worth noting that Martin Truex Jr’s brother will pilot the #40 Chevrolet Silverado in 2021. This is the same car that he drove for nine races in the 2020 campaign. In terms of race results, he delivered a season-best finish of 12th at Las Vegas and at Kansas.

Last season was really a learning year for me with this team,” Ryan Truex said. “I feel like we learned a ton every week. We adjusted to working with no track time prior to racing, and I feel like we made our equipment better throughout the course of the year.

It is worth noting that the last time he enjoyed a full season was in the 2018 Xfinity Series with Kaulig Racing. However, Ryan Truex also had a full-time Truck Series season in 2017 with Hattori Racing.

During that Xfinity stint, he reached the Top 10 on 11 occasions and reached the playoffs. Unfortunately, he only made it as far as the Top 12 that year. Since then, Justin Haley took his place in the coming season.

In 2019, the younger Truex managed to finish 2nd from one of his six Xfinity starts for JR Motorsports. This was enough to land him his part-time role at Niece for 2020. Now, he seems to have done enough to impress the team and secure a full-time seat for 2021.

Hopefully, he can perform well and bring reasonable success to Niece Motorsports. The man has yet to win a race, but it is only a matter of time before he reaches Victory Lane at last.
