It has been a horrible two-year stretch for Golden State Warriors star shooting guard Klay Thompson.
In the 2019 NBA Finals against the Toronto Raptors, Thompson, who had been dealing with a strained hamstring, tore his left anterior cruciate ligament and missed the full 2019-20 season.
Then before the shortened 2020-21 season could begin, Thompson suffered an Achilles tear that sidelined him for another full season, which was simply devastating for the five-time NBA All-Star.
With almost a year of recovery in the books, Thompson is nearing a return to a Golden State team that is looking like a true contender early in the season.
Thompson practiced in uniform on Wednesday for the first time in a long time, and Los Angeles Lakers star LeBron James reacted to the news on Twitter:
