Boxing legend Floyd Mayweather has reached out in support of Nate Robinson after his loss. The former NBA star Robinson lost to YouTube sensation Jake Paul via a vicious KO. The whole world of combat sport has since ridiculed the former NBA player’s escapade. However, Mayweather encouraged the former Slam Dunk contest champion; he also slammed those who didn’t.
The legend of the sport took to his Instagram to show his support. A picture with Robinson was accompanied with the caption, “Nate, I’m proud of you and I will always stand behind all my brothers. I will never kick my brother when he’s down. It’s ok for people to voice their opinions on social media, but no black athletes or black entertainers, especially black NBA players should make a mockery out of you.”
Clearly, Mayweather is not happy with the treatment that Robinson got after his loss. He also wrote, “We are supposed to all stand with each other through the good, bad and ugly. I’m here to uplift you and let you know we all love you and congratulate you for just making an effort.”

Floyd Mayweather explains his own actions in the past.
‘Money Mayweather’ made sure to explain why he has sometimes gone in on fighters after defeats. He added a side note that cleared that up. Mayweather said, “The times I’ve had issues with another brother is when they came at me first. I was just defending myself.”
It is easy to understand why the legend wants people to respect Nate Robinson rather than have a go at him. Getting in the ring is one of the hardest things anyone can do. Furthermore, Robinson has to deal with the fact that he got knocked out in front of millions of viewers. Thus, it will be tough times for the former NBA star, but at least he can rely on the support of people like Mayweather.
