They are coming off back-to-back wins over the Penguins (2-1) and Capitals (4-2). The Rangers were slated to play Saturday afternoon at New Jersey, but it was postponed due to a COVID-19 outbreak for the Devils.
The Islanders and Rangers opened the season against each other in January. The Islanders won 4-0 to start the season, then dropped the next game 5-0 to the Rangers.
