Four more teens students charged over beheading of Samuel Paty

Four more teenagers have been charged in the beheading of French history teacher Samuel Paty — including three students who allegedly pointed out the educator to his killer, a report said Thursday.

Those three teens, who are ages 13 and 14, are facing charges of “complicity in a terrorist murder” tied to the Oct. 16 murder in a Paris suburb, a judicial source told Agence France-Presse.

The fourth teen is also a former student of Paty’s — whose father launched a toxic social media campaign targeting the teacher for showing caricatures of the Prophet Muhammad in class.

She’s been charged with “slanderous denunciation” of Paty after recounting her version of events in the classroom, despite not actually attending the lesson on freedom of speech.

Her dad, meanwhile, was previously charged with “conspiracy to commit a terrorist murder” for the social media campaign — and for allegedly exchanging messages with Paty’s killer Abdoulakh Anzorov on WhatsApp in the days leading up to the murder.

The 18-year-old Chechen refugee decapitated Paty with a long knife as the educator headed home from the junior high school in Conflans-Sainte-Honorine, about 25 miles northwest of Paris, authorities have said.

He then posted an image of the teacher’s severed head on Twitter before he was shot dead by police.

The Russian-born attacker is said to have offered a group of students between $355 and $415 to identify the 47-year-old teacher, who he wanted to “humiliate and strike” for showing the caricatures, which he saw as insulting.

At least 14 people have been charged in the killing, including two other students, ages 14 and 15, who allegedly laid in wait with the Anzorov for more than two hours and IDed the educator for him.

Paty’s slaying caused a massive outcry in France, leading French President Emmanuel Macron to announce a crackdown on radical Islamic groups.
