Five people were shot during a melee at an ‘illegal’ after-hours club in Brooklyn, police and sources said.
The 4 a.m. shooting unfolded at 917 Flushing Avenue, near Stanwix Street in Bushwick, where a dispute quickly escalated into gunfire which left four men and a woman hurt.
The woman, 23, was shot in the right leg, while three of the men suffered leg injuries, sources said. The men ranged in age from 24 to 49. It’s unclear where the fifth victim was shot. The victims were transported to Elmhurst, Wyckhoff and Woodhull hospitals in stable condition with non-life-threatening injuries, police said.
“It looks like it was some sort of catering hall or social club,” an NYPD spokeswoman said. There was no further word on arrests or motive for the shootings. Public records describe the scene of the crime as a storage warehouse built in 1931.
The bloodshed came hours after a man was slain in Queens.
In that incident, the victim, 24, was shot at least three times, including once in the chest and right arm on 98th Street, near 99th Avenue after being shot by a male in a white vehicle, the NYPD said. He was pronounced dead at Long Island Jewish Medical Center.
The overnight violence comes hours after an innocent bystander in Queens was shot in the head and killed after being caught in the crossfire of two feuding gangs, law enforcement sources told The Post.
Gudelia Vallinas, 37 was killed in the Woodside Houses Friday evening, at the intersection of Broadway and 48th Street.
Police got a 911 call from a resident of the public housing complex, saying that about five or six teenagers in two groups were exchanging gunfire as they chased each other through the building, according to sources.
