A dead man with burns on his body was discovered in a backyard in Brooklyn early Tuesday — as cops determined that an elderly woman was missing from the same home, police said.
A neighbor found the unidentified 46-year-old man unconscious and unresponsive in the backyard of the home on Bedford Avenue near Avenue Y in Sheepshead Bay around 5:30 a.m., authorities said.
He was pronounced dead at the scene. The NYPD’s Arson and Explosion Squad responded, police said.
Cops also determined that a 77-year-old woman, who was not immediately identified, was missing from the home.
Her relationship with the man, if any, was not immediately clear.
No further information was immediately available.
