Andrew Giuliani supporters were campaigning deep in enemy territory Tuesday night.
Two men were escorted out of Citi Field after unfurling a large banner in support of the Republican gubernatorial candidate over a railing high above left field during the Giants blowout of the Mets Tuesday, according to video tweeted by a reporter for FreedomNewsTV.
“New York Giuliani Governor 2022,” was scrawled on the white bedsheet as a smattering of boos and cries of “you suck,” and “he’s going to jail” could be heard in sparsely attended neighboring sections, the footage showed.
The stunt came several subway rides away from the Giuliani family’s preferred ballpark, Yankee Stadium — where a young Andrew was often spotted with his omnipresent father, former mayor Rudy Giuliani, during the Bronx Bombers’ dominant run in the late 90s.

The partisan banner was in violation of Citi Field’s policy, which reads: “Signs should not interfere with the game, your fellow guests’ enjoyment of the game, or carry disparaging, commercial, political or obscene messages.”
Andrew, 35, faces a long road to becoming the GOP nominee. He received no support from county leaders during a straw poll earlier this summer, with most state Republican kingmakers preferring Long Island Congressman Lee Zeldin.
The stunt got more attention than the floundering Mets, who were shutout by San Francisco 8-0 to continue their torrid slide.
