The Titans began the third drive of their Week 3 game against the Colts without one of their best offensive weapons: A.J. Brown. He was standing on the sideline without a helmet as the Titans took the field.
INJURY UPDATE: Dalvin Cook ‘unlikely’ to play Week 3
Brown was originally deemed questionable to return to the game because of the injury. However, he was declared out before the start of the second half, according to ESPN’s Adam Schefter.

It’s unclear exactly when Brown may have suffered the injury, but surely, his status will bear watching. Soft-tissue injuries tend to linger, so Tennessee may choose to be cautious with Brown’s hamstring issue.
QB RANKINGS: Where Ryan Tannehill ranks among NFL’s top QBs
Brown failed to record a catch before exiting the game. He was targeted twice but couldn’t reel either of them in.
Julio Jones will serve as the Titans’ No. 1 receiver with Brown out for the rest of the game. It will also open up more snaps for Nick Westbrook-Ikhine and Chester Rogers, who each caught a touchdown from Ryan Tannehill in the first half.
Brown has logged seven catches for 92 yards and a touchdown on the season. He was second on the team in receiving yardage behind only Jones entering Week 3. Brown missed two games during the 2020 NFL season while dealing with a knee injury.
