1 of world’s last 2 northern white rhinos dropped program to save the species

32-year-old Najin, one of the world’s last two northern white rhinos, is being retired from a breeding program aimed at implanting artificially developed embryos into another more-abundant species of rhino. Fatu, Najin’s daughter, is now the only donor left in the program.
